Thank you for considering Journey Center for Safety and Healing as a place to invest your time and talent. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Journey Center is mindful of keeping clients, staff, and volunteers as safe as possible.

While there are currently no volunteer positions available, you may complete and submit the volunteer application. Journey Center will keep your application on file and you will be considered for future opportunities.

Required Training:

All volunteers are required to submit an application. Once your application is accepted, there will be an interview to discuss volunteer opportunities and answer any questions.

Volunteers must then attend a volunteer training class- classes are offered at various times throughout the year. A background check is required before training and will be paid for by the volunteer (usually around $40). The volunteer training program is a comprehensive course that typically occurs over a two week period. Attendance for all sessions is mandatory.

  • Please coordinate with us one week in advance what you plan to provide for the meal.

  • All meals must be prepared ahead of time.
