The program will collectively underscore the complexity of domestic violence in later life, revealing how psychological abuse and threats to beloved pets can compound trauma for older victims. Increasing awareness and enhancing coordinated support systems are essential steps toward ensuring safety, dignity, and healing for older adults facing domestic violence.

This training is designed for anyone who works with and supports those who are or have been impacted by abuse. We will discuss the status of the domestic violence movement and where it is headed, including “trending” topics and phrases.
