Journey Center's Chief Advocacy Officer Recognized as the Cav's "Jif Diff" Change Maker

On Wednesday, March 20, Journey Center board and staff had the opportunity to honor and celebrate one of their own. Journey Center’s Chief Advocacy Officer, Shelly Dudas was recognized at the Cavaliers game as the Cav’s “Jif Diff” Change Maker. The Jif Diff Maker moment is a way to honor someone doing incredible work in the community. Shelly was recognized at halftime and also treated to a VIP experience at the game!

Over the last 25 years Shelly Dudas has helped thousands of victim/survivors of domestic violence and child abuse in Cuyahoga County heal from trauma. She is a fierce social justice advocate committed to changing unjust practices that harm individuals in our community. Shelly Dudas is committed to ending domestic violence and child abuse through education, advocacy, and systemic change.

Shelly helped expand Journey Center’s Justice System Advocacy Program 15 years ago and later helped launch the incorporation of the Danger Assessment for Law Enforcement (DA-LE) at Journey – becoming one of the first agencies to use an evidence-based tool to assess a victim’s level of danger and threat of homicide.
